Time To Get Reacquainted

Hello Readers, those of you who have read my blogs, I'm glad you are back. Those that are new... WELCOME.

I decided I needed a fresh start, so I can focus this blog on the reviews... BUT I figured it is time to refresh readers new and old on the structure that I present my reviews. So, this would be THAT kind of post.

So welcome all, and let's get this one out of the way.

Here is the structure, and explanations of the categories.

Background Check: If there is anything that came before it(like if this movie is a sequel or a reboot), this is where that is covered.

Concept: Brief synopsis of the movie in the blog topic.

Execution: Each category is score best out of 10

Cast: Was the casting good? Did they have a stroke when they picked an actor or actress for a known role? What about recast?

Character: Got the cast right...or not? But what about the characters they portrayed? What about how they interacted with each other?

Story: Um... was the story good? Did it make since? Did they have a stroke again when the movie was written?

Visual: Sights... set pieces... CGI... Did it all work?

Sounds: Booms, bangs, crashes, howls, dialogue... or did it just LOOK pretty?

Flow: Movies should have a beginning, middle, end... maybe a climax or two... was a smooth transition getting there?

Substance: Was it supposed to be a comedy and it wasn't funny? Was it too funny, and the movie was supposed to be serious? Did a tone shift affect the finished product?

Closure: Remember the end of the movie? Was it an ACTUAL ending?

Legacy: Does it hold up to the source material? How about compared the original, if it is a reboot? Hold up as a sequel? If none of those apply, how about it compared to other movies of the same genre?

Extra oomph: Maybe it rewrites a part of real human history? Maybe it takes some fiction and blurs the line with non-fiction?

Ten Categories comes the FINAL SCORE out of 100, and if it is a movie where I would be a fanboy, I do give 2 scores. One of them adjusted for the fanboy side to set it a part from those that might not be. And they are given a letter grade.

91-100 A
81-90 B
71-80 C
61-70 D
60 and lower F

Conclusion: Overall feel I had for the movie itself.

Disclaimer is next, and I will write it out here too, goes on every review...

It's all a matter of opinion: I cannot stress enough that THIS is MY opinion, you can either agree with me or not. I don't have to justify my opinion, because *clears throat* that's what this blog is about. Whether I like it or not doesn't mean you have to or not...... It's just my justification behind MY recommendation... Which leads me to my FINAL JUDGMENT...

FINAL JUDGMENT: This where I give my official recommendation. Go see it... don't... rent it... wait for disc release... the end all of the review.

Summary of the blog goes here.

Witty joke here...

Closing.

There is my structure. Hopefully that helps. Fair warning, I do use all of my words. George Carlin a famous bit called "The 7 Words You Can't Say On Television"... well... this isn't television.

2018 is a new year, and the New Review lives Anew.

Thank you all for your patronage... and if you will spread the word.

Also, if you agree, or disagree with my opinion, that's cool. But if you decide to troll, the only thing you will get is a Fuck You... and gonna move on. But if you really have some insight, bring it on. The only way this blog can get better is with some worthwhile debate.

Thank you all again. It's time to get to work.
